Samurai Jack review

Posted : 7 years ago on 13 April 2017 09:23 (A review of Samurai Jack)

This newest season of Samurai Jack is every thing a reboot should be, taking everything that made the original and making it darker and more mature.

We Bare Bears review

Posted : 7 years ago on 13 April 2017 09:16 (A review of We Bare Bears)

This cartoon, much like a majority of slice of life anime such as Maid Dragon and Lucky Star, swims in its charming simplicity of just seeing funny and likable characters doing normal things, and it works very very well in the shows favor, constantly delivering mundan or simple yet wonderfully memorable episodes

Teen Titans Go! review

Posted : 7 years ago on 13 April 2017 09:09 (A review of Teen Titans Go!)

Its sad that Cartoon Network relies so heavily on a show that treats its child audience with no proper intelligence and sub par writing. The repetitive nature of the shows episode premises and its idea of satire has made the show universally hated, almost unfairingly so. But some episodes flat out mock critics and fans of the original to the point of insult, which warrents the hate, but some people go too far with the hate. Overall a mediocre show that can sometimes turn insulting to its viewers

Clarence review

Posted : 7 years ago on 13 April 2017 09:00 (A review of Clarence)

A simple and charming little cartoon that successfully releases the feeling and nostalgia of being a kid much the same as Ed Edd and Eddy did long ago and even more so the Myazaki masterpiece My Neighbor Totoro (though not as executed as well)

Star Wars: Rebels review

Posted : 7 years ago on 13 April 2017 08:55 (A review of Star Wars: Rebels)

Taking place before Rogue One and after Revenge of the Sith, Rebels does a great job showing the prequel trilogy slowly morphing into the technology and turmoil of the Empires rule in the original trilogy while simutaeneously expanding the already huge Star Wars galaxy with new characters and planets, not to mention deliver some great Star Wars action with some top notch television budget cgi animation.

Steven Universe review

Posted : 7 years ago on 13 April 2017 08:48 (A review of Steven Universe )

A show that had a very slow start before becoming a show with some deeply emotional character development and an interesting over arching narrative. However, the show suffers quite a bit from having a lot of filler episodes, though they are all still have at least 1 legitimatly entertaining moment in them. The art style is very distinct with simple hand drawn character designs supported by some beautifully PPG danced panced style backgrounds with some heavy emphasis on nature. Solid series that when its good, its VERY good, but seems to wollow in its own filler syndrome a lot lately.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic review

Posted : 7 years ago on 13 April 2017 08:39 (A review of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic)

A vibrantly animated breath of fresh air with characters with distinct personalities and humor that can easily appeal to both child and adult audiences. A show with an innocence that is hard to come by even now in 2017 all wrapped up in a distinctly appealing art style and great moral ambiguity.
